Anyone who is currently employed in the field of public health or who is simply interested in pursuing an education so they can eventually have a fulfilling and lucrative career in this field is probably already aware of the fact that it is constantly changing. As the needs of a community evolve and the challenges that some of the most vulnerable members of the community face, public health professionals will find that their responsibilities evolve consistently over time. This means that it is absolutely crucial that a public health professional constantly strive to further their education and learn as much about developing concerns as possible so they can protect and help the individuals that they work with.
Of course, getting this type of information doesn’t necessarily mean that a person has to spend all of their time with their nose in a book or reading scholarly materials online. There are actually some very informative videos that can be found on YouTube that discuss a wide variety of different issues relating to public health. #1 Most Urgent Issues in Public Health
This video features some practitioners of public health from Canada discussing a variety of different challenges facing both people in their home country and in other parts of the world as well.
#2 Public Health Issues
This video focuses largely on HIV and dispels many of the myths surrounding both the infection in the individuals who are most affected by it. It also discuss some of the actions that are necessary in order to reduce the spread of both TB and HIV, which is of great importance since HIV is one of the most powerful risk factors when it comes to getting TB.
#3 Public Health Issues of Water and Sanitation
Although relatively short, this video does make a powerful case the need for sanitation and clean water, especially in developing parts of the world.
#4 India Summit: Public Health Discussion
This video significantly longer than the previous one, coming in at close to an hour, but the wide variety of topics discussed will be of great interest to anyone in the public health field.
#5 Infant Sleep as a Public Health Issue
This video takes an interesting approach to the issue of infant sleep and how it relates to public health in general.

This video features faculty from the University of Georgia discussing a wide variety of health issues relating to children.
#7 Minister of Local Government at a Public Health Meeting
What makes this video of great interest public health professionals is the way that both government officials and public health professionals work together.
#8 Overcoming Neighborhood Public Health and Sanitation Issues
This video is very unique because it discusses sanitation issues that were of importance decades ago. Although this is an older video, it is still surprisingly relevant.
Although this video was submitted as part of a contest for the Mercer University School of Medicine, it is quite informative and interesting to watch.

This video takes a look at the role of corporations, notably fast food restaurants, and their role in promoting good health throughout the world.
#11 Public Health Lecture
Again, this is a longer video, but it features a lecture by a professor of epidemiology which anyone interested in public health will likely find the very interesting.
